Some (metal) Music (and lyrics)

Just browsing the www, I came upon http://www.goear.com website.

A great moment to look up my favorite band – SAMAEL (an Industrial-Metal band from Switzerland).

As this blog-website is shaping up, it is time for some music.
What better selection than some songs from the philosophical album Passage from 1996. This was a big turn for the band, moving from darker, Black-Metal to a more melodic Industrial.

I will use the http://vodpod.com “trick” to link the actual songs into the blog.

As a continuous changing band, SAMAEL has evolved into a more electronic sound, but kept the lyrics meaningful.See below one of their newer videos Slavocracy from their latest album Solar Soul (2007)It is way superior to the one from 1998, both as image and as direction.

Very soon now, on 6th of March 2009, the newest album will be launched.Above (2009) is a come-back to their early days of pure black-metal.

I have posted the lyrics as well just so you can see that beyond all that “metal-industrial” there is a much deeper layer. There is nothing left to chance. You see plenty of symbols and meanings.

Ask yourself this:
When was the last time you have thought about such things ? Why not?
